When it comes to the statement that money never sleeps Michael Douglas’ ex-wife lost money on Wall Street. No, not the stock market. Diandra Douglas lost in her attempt to stake a claim on the sequel to Michael’s blockbuster movie “Wall Street.” Ironically the name of the sequel is “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps,” apparently neither do the divorce settlements. Michael and Diandra Douglas were divorced in 2000 after being married for 23 years. Diandra thinks that she is entitled to half of Michaels earnings from the sequel of the movie because the divorce agreement issued in California awarded her a share of proceeds from all the work that Michael did while they were married. This included the original “Wall Street.” When Diandra took the case to the courts in New York the case was dismissed due to the settlement being made in California and having no place in New York courts. Michael’s divorce lawyer said that Diandra is misinterpreting the divorce agreement and that it does not apply to the movie sequel which had not been created at the time of the divorce. Disney superstar Miley Cyrus has been aging before our very eyes over the past year, now, just days after turning 18 Miley has been caught getting high on camera. The video showing the teen star smoking Salvia, which is a legal substance in California was obviously filmed with her permission, as she plays to the camera and laughs hysterically. What has happened to the sweet girl who brought Hannah Montana to ‘tweens around the world? One suggestion is that Miley is acting out to get her parents’ attention. It was recently announced that her country crooner/actor dad Billy Ray Cyrus and wife Tish are getting divorced. While this behavior may seem shocking from someone who is often chosen to represent the clean cut Disney image, it is normal behavior for a teen whose family is falling apart around her. Another long time marriage of a well known entertainment industry has come to an end. According to Los Angeles, CA court records, the divorce between Cameron Crow and Nancy Wilson has been finalized. The well known couples, who have often worked together, were married July 27, 1986. After 24 years of marriage, singer Nancy Wilson filed for divorce in September. She cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for her wish to end the marriage. They had separated in June, 2008. A retired judge finalized the divorce December 8th. There was little fanfare leading up to the finalization of the divorce, which means her divorce lawyer did not have to battle in court. Cameron Crowe, age 53, is a writer and director, and is known for films that include “Say Anything” and “Jerry Maguire”. He won an Oscar for the screenplay, “Almost Famous”. Crowe is also a contributing editor with the magazine Rolling Stone. Singer Nancy Wilson appeared in “Fast Times at Ridgemont High,” a 1982 teen comedy that was written by Crowe.
