Hulk Hogan Sues Ex Wife

When Terry “Hulk Hogan” Bollea and his wife Linda got a divorce, she testified under oath it was she who acted as business manager for Hogan.

With this statement on record, the Hulk has filed an amended lawsuit against his ex-wife Wells Fargo Insurance Services Southeast, Wells Fargo Insurance Services, USA, and Wells Fargo Insurance.

In August, 2007 Hulk Hogan’s son, Nick, was involved in an automobile accident. He and two friends were racing cars owned by the Hulk. As a result of that accident John Graziano was left with severe injuries. Hulk Hogan was sued by the Graziano family for negligence in 2008. At the time Graziano family lawyers were quoted as saying that damages could be in the millions.
It was then that Hulk Hogan realized that his personal liability insurance coverage only went up to $250,000. There was no excess coverage. The settlement with the Graziano’s was much more that the $250,000 amount that his insurance provided.

In the amended lawsuit against his ex-wife and the insurance companies Hogan is seeking an amount of money that would make up the difference of the settlement and amount the insurance paid. He maintains that as his business manager, she, along with the insurance companies, were required to notify him that he didn’t have enough insurance coverage.

The lawsuit states that the defendants owed Hogan a “fiduciary duty under Florida law to act in his best interest in regard to adequately protecting his assets in the event of a potential third party liability claim against him for automobile accidents involving vehicles own by Hogan.”

The divorce was filed on November 20, 2007 following a marriage of 24 years. Divorce lawyers on both sides were kept busy with charges of “legal shenigans” from Linda Bollea and attempts at post marital agreements.
